SANKS for the memories?!.....well, blow the man [down]?!.....trailer for the 'Battleship' movie is out......

.....based on the award winning game.....

....Universal Pictures has released its third trailer for Battleship, the Peter Berg-directed summer tent pole based on the Hasbro board game. The studio hopes this megabudget Taylor Kitsch-starrer hits the target better than did last weekend’s John Carter, which will result in a “you sunk my battleship” type torpedo blow to Disney’s financial ledger. Universal opens Battleship May 18 in the US and Canada. By then it will have earned some gross overseas, where it opens April 11. Liam Neeson, Brooklyn Decker and Rihanna also star. This trailer gives the latter some face time. The film certainly looks like it has a global calamity scale, and Berg has brought back not only his Friday Night Lights fixtures Tim Riggins (Kitsch), but also Landry Clarkie (Jesse Plemons). Texas forever!...

SHIP....shape....??

Huh. I did not make a connection with that movie and the game. I thought it was more of a mash-up of Independence Day and War of the Worlds. Still difficult for me to see the game in the movie. Oh well.

It's quite possible that the ships in the movie blindly fire at their opponents and wait to hear a signal from the other side if there was a hit.

I used to play Battleship and Sub Search but I don't remember either one being anything like that ;-)

I still have my "Sub Search" game, actually picked up another one at a yard sale to replace a couple
broken tabs on a few pieces. My sons friends still like to play it, even though it's about 40 years old.
