Had to remove my washing machine and use the backup that has been stored covered outside. I bought a plastic pan that it can sit on, so that if there were/are any leaks, it would not get on the wood floor underneath.
Notice that during the Spin Cycle the washing machine wants to walk around. Moves till it hits something then stops.
Was thinking of Screwing in some blocks around the pan and see if that would do the job, Maybe I will go by Home Depot and ask the plumbing guys, They may have an answer.
Not sure if the Washer is doing something that I should change. Adjust feet etc. I am certainly not overloading it, just filling with the dry clothes and not pushing down.
THanks.

top loader or front loader?
make sure that the transportation screws/bars are removed.
when Lowes guys installed my front loader, they did NOT remove some screws that were holding the drum in the back, and they tested it empty (no clothes, just water). of course it worked fine with no real load. When we ran our first load, during spin it caused a small earthquake in our house. I had to shop it before it damaged something. I started reading the manual and figured out that the Lowes guys did not remove those screws, I removed them myself and it workd fine ever since.

This is an older TOP Loader Kenmore.
Next might be a front load, to save on water.... Son bought one of those, and is highly recommending.

Usually that means one of these things:
1- The load is unbalanced
2- The machine is not level
3- The surface the machine is on is not providing enough friction on the feet
4- The springs and balances inside the machine's housing are not correct
I'd lean more towards #2 and #3. You do NOT want to screw it down.

The problem is you have taken away the friction between the feet and the floor, and put it on the pan. The pan has very little friction against the floor. The washer is doing the same thing it always has done, but it is moving the pan instead.
Put a thin rubber mat under the pan. You don't need to use a mat the same size as the pan, but big enough to be under at least two of the washer feet. Now you have restored friction and the washer will stay where you want it to.
You have to approach this with reason. With no pan, washer did not move. With pan, washer moves. What changed?

It is unlevel. Adjust the feet.

This is off topic, but that thick foam shelf liner is great for preventing appliances such as coffee grinders from walking around.
