Got my favorite running shoes stolen!!!
#1
Right off the entrance door to our upstairs apt unit! I was drying them after a wash after accidentally running into a pile of dog poo. Who in his/her right mind would want to steal someone else's used shoes?!! Never heard of foot diseases?!! Wife said I should not be shocked such an occurrence happened even in this high priced apt complex. Should I report the incident to our local PD and or our renter's insurance provider?

Regarding the PD, not that I expected a lockdown or SWAT come busting through the dumbarse's apt. I just wanted a record because there has been a few similar incidents based on the community's forum, i.e. one instance whereas a tenant's entrance door decorative pots of plants got stolen.

Renter's insurance, if reported, do you think the premium might jump?

Sounds like you need to put up a tasteful sign above the mailboxes asking for the return of your running shoes, as your doctor needs a sample of the rare tropical foot disease you contracted on your recent trip to Maylasia, so you don't have to have both your feet amputated.

I had thought of something similar but Wife thought it would create a crowd panic around here. Our unit is next to the the internal elevator with the most tenant's traffic. The sign would create a red zone. On the other hand, we might get to keep the elevator as our private one as it is so often broken down due to heavily usage
