I smell skunk
#1
I smelled the odor in my living room, so I went outside and the smell got even stronger.

This has been happening more and more frequently.

Has anyone ever called an animal control agency about skunks? Will they come out and set traps for them?

Oh, the neighbors daughter got sprayed by one about a week ago when she was walking home.

She just stumbled across it and couldn't get away from it quickly enough.

These things must be really invading my neighborhood.

I saw a little baby skunk in a panic to find it's little den. It was the cutest thing I've ever seen! And I hopped to the other side of the street while it panicked, but it sure was cute.

There are a lot of skunks in this town free, you gotta get used to it...

There's no such thing as a free skunk. More likely the tax payers are footing that bill...

I've posted pictures, in the past, of a mom and her baby skunk that were in my neighbor's living room. She had several cats and left her patio door open next to the cats food.

The skunks became accustomed to "visiting" and the cats never seemed to mind.

The skunks were so secure, after years of familiarity, that at times you could pet them.

The babies are absolutely adorable.

btw, years ago I worked for a high end audio dealer on Cortlandt St (near Wall St) and next door there was a coffee importer. The smell of coffee came through to us and, I swear, it smelled just like skunk. Since then, skunk odor has never bothered me because of the strong association that I made with coffee beans.

That was probably Civet poo that you were smelling.

Yikes, I would never let a wild animal come in the house or touch them. The risks are just too great.
