Am I going to enjoy Black Swan?
#1
I was at the local library today and looking through the DVDs, I noticed Black Swan. I remembered it was nominated for some awards and received some critical acclaim, but other than that and the fact that Mila Kunis is in it, I don't know much about it. I started getting concerned when a google search brings up results like Can someone explain black swan to me? and Am I the Only One Who Doesn't Like Black Swan? and Bad Movies We Love: Black Swan.

I'm not in the mood for a lot of thinking tonight when I'm watch a movie. Is this one a "pass" or a "watch"? Other options are Contagion, The Next Three Days and The Bank Job. Of course, I could just pass on all of them.

I thought it was a well done movie... It will probably really creep you out, and you probably won't want to watch it ever again, but I would say go for it.

It is a very good movie. But light entertainment it isn't! It is quite intense.

If you don't want to do a lot of thinking, choose one of the other films. The Bank Job is the lightest of all of them.

AGREE!!!

If you want to be slightly depressed and sort of confused, then watch it, but know that there are some 'mature' themes, also. I would call it a slightly disturbing film.

Okay, thanks. Some other time, then. I keep forgetting I have Amazon Prime. I think I'm going to go for a little '70s sci-fi with Westworld. Smile

You will not enjoy it... you will be assaulted by it...

Dark does not begin to describe...

It's very good, but I had to shut it off the first two times I tried to watch it. Just wasn't in the mood for something like that...
