Bluetooth speakers: What do you like? Models to avoid?
#1
looking at low-cost speakers, ran across this:

TekNMotion Air Capsule Portable Bluetooth Stereo Speaker

http://www.amazon.com/TekNmotion-TM-AIRC...B009EPSJWS

or maybe this

HMDX Audio HX-P230GY JAM Bluetooth Wireless Speaker

http://www.amazon.com/HMDX-HX-P230GY-Blu...007R6HUFI/

can't really swing a Jawbone for $150 ... any models you folks own or have heard that offer a good sound for the money?

I'm picky about my music so I use the Bose speakers but they are very expensive. Bose Bluetooth speakers

Prior to that I was using the Monster ClarityHD Bluetooth Wireless Speaker which I got on sale for $50. It makes sound. It's fairly loud and doesn't distort easily. It also has an input jack which makes it useful with other devices including an airport express. I would say this is bottom of the barrel though and I was never very happy with it. http://www.amazon.com/Monster-ClarityHD-...34?ie=UTF8&qid=1362506376&sr=8-34&keywords=bluetooth+speaker

My father uses the Jawbone Jambox which sounds surprisingly good for it's size. I was it on refurb for $99 about a month ago. At christmas time it was selling for $130 at costco. I think for the money it's the best unit out there. http://www.amazon.com/Jawbone-JAMBOX-Wir...lectronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1362506641&sr=1-1&keywords=jambox+jawbone

I've had an iClarity for almost a year and am very pleased with it. My only complaint is that the light on the front is too bright. I put tape over it to tone it down, not an elegant solution.

$55 on eBay

Maybe a little whiteout over each led? Or use a silver or black sharpee.

My wife uses the Jawbone Jambox also. I was skeptical at first, but it puts out a surprisingly good, rich sound for the size.

Probably not exactly what you are looking for, but:

Soundfreaq SFQ-01 http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004E0Z...=486539851&pf_rd_s=lpo-top-stripe-1&pf_rd_t=201&pf_rd_i=B007XOQI4S&pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_r=1MNZ7Y9QZH9ZHMYANBVW

...great, great sound. Last week I went to a couple of Targets that had these on clearance for $50-$60 - you might swing by and see if that might be the case in your area - it would be a steal.
