'Glee' star Cory Monteith found dead in hotel in Canada

....Cory Monteith, who played heart throb Finn Hudson in the Fox hit "Glee," was found dead in a Vancouver, Canada, hotel room Saturday, police said. He was 31.

Vancouver police said the cause of death was not immediately apparent, but they ruled out foul play.

Medical examiners will conduct an autopsy Monday.

Monteith's body was discovered by staff members at the Fairmont Pacific Rim Hotel after he missed his checkout time, acting Chief Constable Doug LePard told reporters....

yes......for about 1 year.....

....they just announced that four of the "original" cast would not be returning for new season as "regulars"..... Heather Morris (who plays Brittany due to her pregnancy), Mark Salling (Puck), Amber Riley (Mercedes) and Harry Shum, Jr. (Mike)......Dianna Agron (Quinn) was only scene in a handful of episodes last season anyway....

.....last seasons "new cast" were listed as "guest" but have been promoted to "regular" for next season.....Melissa Benoist (Marley), Jacob Artist (Jake), Becca Tobin (Kitty), Blake Jenner (Ryder) and Alex Newell (Unique)......

Unfortunately high school kids die in real life. Maybe the producers will use this tragedy as a life lesson in an upcoming episode.

Strange to say, my first reaction to the news was as if the character in the show had died. By now this character has graduated and is about to start studying to become a teacher.

A pity. Drugs kill, after tearing your life apart. It's a pity the drug culture is so ingrained in the entertainment industry . Employers should drug test ( like everywhere else). That might help stop it..

not really. they have been transitioning to newer cast members as students have 'graduated.' i can see Finn's death being easily written in. opportunity for another Glee life lesson.

i like Glee and have enjoyed Monteith's work though i found him a bit stiff. didn't realize he was 31 which might account for the out of placeness that was present for me. guess few of the cast members are high school age.

Liked the actor, sad he's dead.

But as others pointed out Glee runs like a Disney TV show...replace the actors when they age or become troublesome.
