My God! Jennifer Connelly ...
#1
Is Beautiful.

A friend who is not a big action movie buff came over and we ended up Watching "The Avengers". He enjoyed tremendously, especially Mark Ruffalo's "Bruce Banner". I told him that his characterization seemed close to Eric Bana's from Ang Lee's 2003 "Hulk" rather than the 2008 (semi)Reboot.

I ended up re-watching both Hulk movies (thanks to our Local Library). It confirmed my memory that the "look" of the 2003 was both more "cinematic" and "comic book" than the 2008 version. BUT.... I kept getting pulled out of the movie by Jennifer Connelly's beuaty! Even painfully thin as she got after 1999, she is just beyond gorgeous. I mean top ten hot from about 1990 to at least 2010! (And yes I have seen "Requiem")

Who is more beautiful than Jennifer Connelly? Ya Got me.

Have you seen The Rocketeer (1991)?

The movie is a lot of fun, and Jennifer is at her loveliest.

I didn't realize that was her in The Avengers and suppose I've seen very few of her films. But now it all makes sense.

I remember her from A Beautiful Mind. There's a tender scene where she's looking up at Crowe and OMG those eyes of hers ... indescribably incredible. I think I blanked out for while. And that's all I remember from her Avengers character as well. Did she have any lines in the movie? Never heard them.

She's been around for a _long_ time, and this is not a bad thing, by any means. Yes, she has her fans, but she is also well respected by her peers.

If you have a few hours to spare, check out her controversial debut in Leone's "Once Upon A Time In America". She isn't in it very long, but by then you will by stuck to the couch, because the movie is _that_ good. In my opinion, it is better than "The Godfather" I/II. It has better acting, better cinematography, better music, and a much better story.
And it has Jennifer Connelly, in her controversial debut.

(Just to be a completist, the "complete" version of the film, rather than the butchered US version, restored by the Leone estate and Scorsese, is supposed to be released any time now. My guess is that it will hit the art houses first, before it gets to Amazon.)
