Apple's iPhone buyback program-- likely to cause prices to rise or fall?
#1
Used prices will rise because people will prefer the convenience of trading up via Apple over eBay/craigslist....
or they will continue to fall since the trader-uppers would have probably just let the old ones rot in a drawer?

from what i've read it's not clear to me that apple will be re-selling these phones. they may well use them for refurb repair replacement.

I really didn't weigh any possible effect of what Apple would do with the phones once in their clutches--- although now that you mention that, my guess is that they'd channel them through gray market sites such as Overstock.com and Cowboom-- which would most likely drive prices down.
