batch unrar?
#1
I have been using unrarX for quite awhile and it does well but is tedious when a large directory has to be processed with many subdirectories. Is there a better utility that will handle subdirectories?

Command line from the terminal.

This is what I use:

You have to jump through some hoops to install it (more than a double click), but once it's installed, all you need to remember is this command:

find . -name "*.rar" -exec unrar -pSECRET -y -ad x {} \;

I use BetterZip. You can drag an entire folder into a queue and it will go through it and unrar any rar files.

I also agree. RAR is a pita and should go away.
