Repair Visual Basic in MS Word 2011?
#1
Yesterday I installed Dragon Dictate 3.0 for Mac and updated to 3.03.

Everything seems to be working well, except Dragon Dictate will not dictate into my version of MS Word 2011. Various discussions on the Internet indicate that Dragon Dictate calls on the Visual Basic component of Microsoft Word. (Didn’t even know that MS Office 2011 included Visual Basic.)

The result in MS Word from choosing Tools-Macro-Visual Basic Editor is the message: “Could not open macro storage.”

Is there any chance I can repair/replace a corrupted/missing file without having to perform a complete re-install of MS Word?

thanks, Todd’s still keyboard

Mac OS X 10.8.5

I'm not sure, but you may want to google for your specific error (including "Word 2011" in the search query). Probably most likely to find an answer that way, as this seems like it might be an uncommon issue for which there may not be a person here with an answer.

The best advice I found online was to completely re-install MS Word. I ended up doing that, and it seems to have worked.

Visual Basic in MS Word seems to function normally now, and Dragon Dictate is now compatible with my version of MS Word.

Thanks, Todd's soon-to-be-obsolete keyboard
