so how great (or poor) is your smart phone battery life?

not complaining, not bragging, just curious how is your battery life these days.

I long for those candy bar phone with stand-by life of weeks and talk time of 12 or more hours. Yes, they were not smart phone, but you never ran out of juice. maybe when they finally develop batteries based on Graphene (in fact those are super/ultra capacitors) we shall see reasonable battery life again.

iPhone 5. I get around a day of use. I need to charge it every night but I don't usually run out of battery during the day unless I make a few really long phone calls or surf the web for a few hours.

I get around a day out of my Palm Pre 2-- first thing I did was buy two fresh batteries. I carry 1-2 extras in my wallet.
I think you're overstating the battery life of the flip phones and candy bars. Sure, you could get a few days if you didn't use them, but I don't think I ever saw more than a day and a half with semi-frequent use.

So far, my 5s is much better than my 4s.

I'm sure some of that is a fresh battery, but I seldom lasted a day with the 4s, and I'm a light user.

iPhone 5 running iOS 7.0.2. Standby battery life is around 8 or 9 days. I have never run out of battery during a day's usage comprising calls, picture taking, browsing, and messaging.

HTC Sensation - year three, battery still does pretty good. Still gets through the whole day. It's my only phone so its on 24/7. I feel like it has lost about 15% of its staying power so I've ordered a fresh one from Amazon for $12.

No complaints.
