guns kill more people than car accidents in 12 states plus DC
#1
So much for the "why don't we ban cars because they kill more people" argument. Cars and driving gets safer all the time, but the death by shooting just goes on and on.

Clearly we need laws mandating guns for all drivers.

Your source is suspect. The conclusions are bogus. Did you really read them and understand them?

those gun deaths include cops killing criminals so lets ban cops whie we're at it

alcohol kills more than cars and guns
30% of suicides by gun are alcohol related
33% of traffic related deaths are alcohol induced
we should ban alcohol
400,000 deaths per year by tobacco
we should ban tobacco
98,000 deaths per year due to medical practice error
apparently doctors are more dangerous than gun owners - let's ban them too
300,000 deaths per year due to obesity - grocery stores are more dangerous than gn owners - lets ban them
hundreds of thousands killed by wars and conflicts worldwide
lets ban government

Not finding great data but evidence suggests dogs kill more people with guns than with cars.

My favorite aphorisms when applied to statistics:

"Figures don't lie, but Liars do figure." (No attribution.. 1884 )

"If you can't dazzle them with brilliance, baffle them with bovine feces". W.C. Fields (with phorum friendly scatology).

Stick to one cause at a time.

Guns have also become very safe in function. The common incidence of musket and cannot malfunction causing the death or injury of the shooter has been reduced to almost nothing. In that respect guns are far safer than cars.

the source of the information is the CDC (centers for disease control) in Atlanta. If you have a more reliable one for the same data, please provide it.

but not at all in the way they are applied.

What's wrong with the statistics I posted? Do you have information to show that what was posted is incorrect? So far I'm not seeing anything but I'll be glad to take a look if you produce anything.
