New MacBook Air in da house . . . with silent upgrade!
#1
Snagged one of the cheap $599 Macbook Air 11.6 refurbs earlier this week, and the UPS guy just delivered it. Supposed to have 4 GB of RAM but, lo and behold, it's got 8 GB! Woo hoo! Storage is just 64 GB but I don't care, since this will be a travel computer and I'm not going to store anything on it.

Running all the updates on it now.

LEADER!

It's nice to hear there still around.

As I mentioned in another thread, with Apple offering so many variations of an item, I thought they were trying to eliminate the Silent Upgrades.

For awhile, it was almost as cheap to get a new version from the Apple Store via Amazon or B&H Photovideo. Amazon charging tax changed that a little for some of us, and silent upgrades widen the gap.
