Tim Cook explains his temporary insanity
#1
Ok, I had a little fun with the title but read the article. It reads like an april fools article. I previously hypothesized that the reason to buy Beats was the streaming tech and I still think that's true although I find the pairing of these two companies questionable.

Tim Cook should have been prescient and bought MOG for $14 million a couple years back. Seems cheaper in hindsight.

If they bought Senheisser, nobody would say anything. Apple buys companies all the time. But they bought this company.

Steve Jobs' widow Laurene Jobs has put in a bid to buy the L.A. Clippers with Jimmy Iovine. The team may sell for over $2 Billion.

And any pro sports franchise has better long term prospects than does the Beats name.

I read that and leaned nothing. I did see a few Jobs quotes ("in our DNA" and "the intersection of liberal arts and technology") that need to stop being part of everyone's--Cook especially--lexicon.

Or even Sennheiser.

I haven't ever listened to Beats headphones, so I don't know anything about the quality. Are they any good?

If they are only "good" with a couple of genres, I personally wouldn't classify them as good. So what's the verdict?

Watch out, Apple! If you're not careful, three years from now those tough guys will own you.
