Mayor wants to make Chicago "the city of lights."

Looks like a good thing if it means it will take less than 3 months to get a burnt out street lamp fixed, but I somehow doubt that's what it will mean....

Great, just what we need.

I can tick off about ten things that Rahm needs to be thinking about besides upping the the amount of light our city spews out..

We already waste SO much light with outdated design of the old street lights..lets move towards smart reflectors that make the light useful...light the streets and not the sky and interiors of the buildings..it's such an obvious problem and completely ignored.

that's just one

Your mayor can't be too bright.
The real city of lights has been turning theirs off

maybe you guys can increase your taxes to build a coal burning power plant to provide the power for the illumination which the poor children need to starve and sleep on the streets with.

Bill..We've already got that covered..our streets are LIT and our alleys have even brighter lights..those folks sleep in virtual sodium vapor daylight..

Rahm is a weird dude..not sure how he got there and not sure what the hell he actually does..He certainly is disconnected from the average Chicago inhabitant..it's the most bizarre Mayor situation ever in this city.

Not hard to understand but that would be a conversation for the Other Side.

Trying to decide whether lighting up the city like a beacon will make it an easier target for terrorism or not ..... or alien attacks..... at night.....
