"As we rushed away from the police line that Sunday night, a black man succinctly explained to me the problem that America faces:

“It’s not a racial thing,” he said, “It’s a police thing. It’s America against the police.”"

Yup.

From the Department of Redundancy Department.

[spoiler]
Loot - steal goods from (a place), typically during a war or riot

Pillage - steal (something) using violence, esp. in wartime

Strange (selective?) lack of context in that article.

I guess he meant raping and pillaging. He just forgot to make up more "facts" about the Ferguson situation.

This was handled so badly from the moment it happened. This video is terribly interesting.

Also, the story is now going around that the police let a dog urinate on the makeshift memorial that sprang up, and drove their cars over it
http://nymag.com/daily/intelligencer/201...orial.html although this is so new that I have to wonder if it is real.

In any event, this goes beyond the problem of militaristic police (although that is a HUGE problem of course) and leads us right smack dab to our country's relentless racism, whether we like it or not. Those police obviously did not see the body as a body of any consequence whatsoever.

Who knows how long this will stay up, but John Steward had an interesting take on the Daily Show.

Mmmm... not sure... thinking maybe I'd prefer to remain happily oblivious of the crap Faux is spewing out.
