Congratulation, it's always a difficult and stressful process that can leave one owning zero, one, or two houses, glad that you're getting closer to being back to just one.
Were there multiple offers, I assume that's why it was above asking. That also gives some extra comfort knowing that you have additional buyers waiting if something should fall through with the current buyer.

Congratulations!
I have been decluttering, repairing, repainting, giving and throwing stuff away for several weeks.
We are thinking about, maybe, selling our house, but I really can't think of where I want to move.
Even if we don't sell right now, I am so glad to get rid of a lot of the extra stuff I have accumulated over our 25 years in this house.
It is really hard for me to believe we have been here this long. I can still remember when we moved in and I jokingly said,"my heirs can move my stuff out." It may work out that way after all. Ha ha.

Several people were interested… But, last night we got a low offer (Conventional) from a potential buyer who nitpicked every square inch of the house including my professionally finished basement. Not sure why she would put an offer on the house if she saw so many problems with it. Probably just thought it would help her get a better deal.
The buyer who is buying… saw it yesterday… loved it… and came back today for a second viewing (her agent made sure that my agent knew she was putting in an offer)… My agent made sure she knew there was another offer on the table and to make sure she gave us "their best offer"… Well, she did… Slightly over asking (Which is lower than what I paid in 1999 before my many upgrades).
I'm sure happy that I am getting a great house at a great price with many upgrades including an $18K roof and custom kitchen (He is a master craftsman) which appraised higher than what I paid… And someone is buying my home who loves it!
YAY ME!

Wow - congrats !!!
Reminds me of when we sold our house in 2003- to the fourth couple that showed up at the first open house. My wife did the trick of making cookies before we left , and set them out . She was asked for the recipe as part of the deal. !
