The iPod Classic that is. After being in a coma for years, Apple has finally pulled the plug.
No iPods Classic here: http://www.apple.com/ipod/
Or refurbs either: http://store.apple.com/us/browse/home/specialdeals/ipod

Sorry to threadjack...

I wish they would bump the Shuffle capacity up to a 4GB minimum, and maybe offer a higher size of 6GB or 8GB. 2GB is just a little too tight.

And don't get silly with the prices either, top out at max $99.

I wish Apple would bring back the Gen 6 iPod nano in 16G.

I'd be sad about it if I'd bothered to pick mine up in the last couple of years.

Full confession: I totally scoffed the iPod when it was first announced. It seemed so disappointing at the time... the rumor mill led us to expect something closer to an iPhone, a real data product instead of "just a music player."

Of course, I wound up with an original 5GB model a few months later (replaced with a 10GB and later added a 30GB). So yeah, don't take investment advice from me...

I was going to buy a classic because of the 160 GB capacity - wanted to put all my CDs on it rather than reload, reload, reload.

BUT that was dependant on me hitting my weight goals...

Have to consider the other options now...

I do have a 1GB shuffle that works like a charm but reload, reload, reload gets old after awhile, especially if you listen to podcasts.

I have to say, Apple missed the boat by not putting wifi in the nano to allow music streaming and podcasting in the iPod. Would much prefer to have a small form factor for both; reloading is a PITA compared to using my iPhone.

I'm amazed at the iPod sales numbers in general - supposedly half are ipod touches. With so many older iphones that work great as ipod touches when the phone function has been outlived/upgraded, I would have thought the market flooded. But not so much!

Just strap a nano to your wrist - never mind.
