A message from Ricoh Imaging’s Director of Marketing
#1
EDIT: this is related to the image we discussed a few days ago. I got the email today.

To All Of Our Loyal and Passionate Pentaxians
Thank you for your many responses regarding our recent email marketing communications. We intended to announce our beautiful colorful cameras in our latest PENTAX K-S1 Sweets Collection.
As Director of Marketing for Ricoh Imaging North America, I can assure you we always strive for the greatest quality in all marketing communications, and I hope you can see this in the magic of the photography we are bringing to life with our new communications.
With regards to the poorly photoshopped stock image which was released inadvertently, please accept my deepest apologies.
This was a tremendous error as the email went out with the wrong image.
All of us at Ricoh Imaging are highly sensitive to an image's quality and what message is being sent, and of course we always prefer original photography produced utilizing our products. We are passionate about Ricoh and the future of this brand.
Under Ricoh's strength we are continuing to create quality PENTAX and RICOH digital imaging products.
We continue to work tirelessly to recall the heritage and pride of the PENTAX brand, joining the Ricoh family of brands.
We carefully communicate Ricoh Imaging's values of...
PASSION INNOVATION CREATIVITY
Please continue to be passionate for our brand as we are.
Let us know how we are doing, not only the bad but the good too.
Sincerely,
Brian S. McIntosh
Director of Marketing

I think it's deep marketing - more press this way than if they had just released a standard photo.

Brilliant, in my opinion.
