And yet, when the idiot kid brings a Malatov coctail to my "kids" school,
#1
it never hits the news, because it isn't a firearm. Idiots will always find a way to act out. Fire arms aren't the problem, it's people detached from reality and consequences. There will always be sticks, rocks, bottles, flammable liquid, rope, matches, SOMETHING.

Well, it did hit the news, but certainly not even a significant news event.

Hey, at a Rocky Horror Picture Show screening, my toast went through the screen.

And the news reports ignore the fact that it is also a college campus for AIE, and adults were at risk as well.

And yet....which of these, guns, sticks, fire, etc., allows the greatest amount if harm with the least amount of planning, physical strength, etc? Which has a powerful national organization working against even common-sense laws to regulate it? Which creates an immediTe, satisfying feeling of power, as glamorized in hundreds of movies?

Sure, idiots will be idiots, but....just saying........

Fists.
Fists and the closest heavy within reach in the heat of the moment object.

Statistically .
Which is not sensationalized by the media for you to absorb and be aware of every day.
It doesn't sell ad space.

I like my chances much better against just about anyone with sticks, stones... even fists and a desire to hurt me and others than I do someone with a firearm. An argument otherwise is disingenuous at best. Probably closer to sickening.

I think OP was pointing out that the crazy is the root cause, not the method of attack. I doubt that disingenuousity was intended... OP is a straight speaker.

All of the anti-gun liberals conveniently forget that the person IS the weapon; guns, knives, clubs, etc are merely tools the "weapon" choses to misuse.

The two worst homicides in NY were committed using petrochemicals (911~jet fuel, thousands murdered; Happyland Social Club~one gallon of gasoline, 100+ murdered)

As long as time, money and effort is NOT focused on the problem (the real "weapon") all of the "solutions" are just ineffective band aids which waste time and money.

We had a weapon attack at our local high school just yesterday. Fortunately the target ducked and the weapon only succeeded in hitting his fist against a wall.

Fortunately most targets know who the weapons are and avoid them except when a weapon carries and thus can't be avoided.

I bet you could kill 20, 30 people with a bag of rocks.

With a lot of luck and a strong arm.

Don't compare rocks and sticks to guns.

How about we face off, you get a bucket of rocks, I get a gun. Fair enough?
