iBook g4 is really hot!

In the last month or so, my daughter's iBook g4 1.33 has been getting quite hot...almost too hot for her lap. I ran the hardware test disk & it came up with an error during the motherboard check:

2FAN/4/1:REAR MAIN ENCLOSURE

Any one know what this means? Just a defective fan or a motherboard problem?

It sounds like you may have a problem. Is it still covered by Applecare? If so, call them. They've always been helpful to me.

The Fans aren't running.
Call Apple!
You do have AppleCare, don't you?
