What's a good choice in a thin/cheap digital camera?
#1
I'm looking for something not too fancy, not so expensive I have to worry about it constantly, but that's really thin and takes nice pictures.

I have a 5MP Nikon 5400 and a 4 MP Canon S40 for my "good" pictures.

This is more of a knockaround camera, when I don't want all the bulk of those.

iPhoto compatibility is important too.

Pentax Optio S. The wife loves it because it fins inside of an Altoids Tin. I like it because it's cheap and takes really good pictures for the size and price, and takes a beating too.

Thin and cheap don't really go together.

Casio Exilim S600 is super thin, but not especially cheap.

We have both the Optio S and a couple of Canon ELPHs in our family. Although the diminutive size of the Optio is great, I don't like the UI...totally nonintuitive. The ELPHs are much better and also have better picture quality. Try picking up a recently discontinued ELPH. I bought my son an SD200 for around $150 just as it was being replaced by a newer version.

A friend of mine has a slim Samsung 5MP that takes decent pictures. I don't know the model nr. though.
