S'now Going: This morning's commute

I don't think I've ever seen this many accidents on my 15 mile NE Ohio commute along the lakeshore.

4 pickup trucks into the wall.
2 SUV's into the wall.
1 minivan into the wall.
1 minivan into the ditch
1 VW Golf into the ditch.
1 Garbage truck, 180 degrees on an exit ramp, into the ditch.


I'm very happy to have switched to driving the Honda CRV after the Civic decided it was holey, AND now has a check engine light. (Is it trying to tell me something ? .... I've got my eye on a used Volvo...) Wow. Just... wow.

They should just remove the wall and the ditch and cut down on the number of accidents.

I tend to agree... the old grass strip and 'arresting cables' system worked pretty well. I remember seeing a semi hit those at highway speeds. And just stopped in a whirl of bits and pieces. The "Wall" just throws the wreck back into traffic, taking out a number of other vehicles.
