Okay, why can't iCal do something this simple?

I decided to really try to give iCal a try after years of using Palm Desktop. So I exported my date book info from Palm Desktop and imported it into iCal. It worked pretty well, but I had to tweak a few of the color schemes. Not a big deal. So I decided to print out the calendar for the 'fridge as I've always done with Palm. It looks okay, but wait. Something's missing. The end times are not showing up on the calendar; just the start times. There must be an box I forgot to check in the preferences. Nope. Maybe there's something about it in the HELP menu. Nope.

What the hell good is that going to do me if I want to be able to see the kids' work schedule or how long an event is going to last after school, or whatever? This would seem to be kind of an important feature in a calendar/datebook/schedule application. And if it can show end times, that info is not evident in the HELP files.

And as long as I'm in a b!tchin' mode, even Palm Desktop printed the colored text for events rather than just the color keys nextto black text. It was nice to just glance at the calendar and know who had things to do (and when).Or is that another item buried in the HELP.

Nope.

I too find iCal wanting in many respects, and feel that it should be a significant part of the mac environment. I've got some hope that the leader's Leopard speech bodes well for iCal improvements, but I'm preparing to be disappointed.
