Amazon Prime Unlimited Cloud storage for Photos
#1
Am I the last person to know that a Prime Subscription gets users unlimited cloud storage for photos?

https://smile.amazon.com/clouddrive/learnmore

They're also offering unlimited everything storage for $60/year.
$5/month for everything is pretty compelling...if they provide a convenient way to move it.

For some reason, when you divided the cost by the month, that made me cringe. I think it's some Pavlovian thing. Though I like the $60 per year!

So I need Google to match this. I would say Apple but that would be like watching a glacier move. File interactivity, interoperability and sharing are the potential "catches."

If all you're looking for is storage, an Adorama Pro account is a pretty good deal as well.

You get unlimited storage for $70/year, plus benefits such as:

- FREE Standard Shipping (2-4 days) on all orders of $29.00 or more

- Upload large files up to 200mb each

They don't support RAW files?

Aren't RAW files in a proprietary format? I don't see how they could support that.

The big files are the tiffs from scanned medium and perhaps 4x5 large large format negatives, and from people shooting digital medium format etc.

RAW files can also be quite large.

RAW is a long-established file format for digital images - they absolutely should be able to support it. Whether they choose to is another matter entirely.

But... where from the text your quoted do you get that they don't support RAW?
