How to download a youtube video?

I know it's been covered in the past, but tech has changed so much, and I want to download a single video (about 4 min long). Is there an easy way to do it?

Use the Firefox/Mozilla browser and install an extension called "Download YouTube Videos as MP4 version 1.8.1

I use it for audio rips from Soundcloud but also works GREAT with Youtube. Copy and paste the URL - click the power button and if needed click "I want Video" after percent timer.

MacX YouTube Downloader is free, if you want an App based solution. it works well for me.

"Video Download Helper" is currently getting the job done for me in Firefox.

In Safari I Right-Click on the video and select Download this video from the menu.
