They will be half that price when the 10 TB Intel SSD's start shipping next year. ;-)

POMTL!

Seriously, are there any of those, anymore?

As a kid, we seldom got any kind of cereal with a goodie inside. We got corn flakes (never a Free Inside!) and bags of generic puffed rice, which unsugared, tasted like Styrofoam.

I did occasionally, if the cereal was on sale. I think I still have my back-of-box Archies Sugar Sugar single.

Although not a bad deal, the OWC had the Crucials not long ago for $315.

evo drives are fine and all, but they are no 850 PRO.

So the are just a "normal" drive.

So the are just a "normal" drive.

And even though a "normal" drive usually provides an overall superior computing experience over platter drives, I'm now SSD-jaded enough to want better than "normal" SSDs.

What kind of heavy lifting? What benchmarks are you targeting? Should narrow down the drive pretty quickly, no?
