Was at a friend's moving away party recently and observed a child asking his father what a food dish consisted of. The father scooped out the food with the serving spoon, put food and spoon in his mouth, ate the contents, and put the spoon back into the container for others to enjoy his saliva. He said to his son, "it is tuna." None of the other adults around seemed to react. Opinions?

In Utah? They're all family so no biggie. It's when they let the dog lick off the spoon that I draw the line.

I will say that once one has children, the needle on 'disgusting' moves quite a bit. The poop, pee, and 'don't eat that' circus changes perspective on everything. I don't know how people with OCD make it through parenthood.

I was at a bbq and the host was running the grill. He was using an old squeeze mustard container to dispense the bbq sauce and I watched as every time he squirted the sauce onto the meat he would then suck on the end of the damned container nozzle. Disgusting.
A little karma: partway through the meal he bit his cheek so badly that he practically fell out of his chair. I swear I heard a "crunch."

At a party/non-family event. Yep, Disgusting.
It is fine at home. I'd have to throw away so much food if I didn't eat anything my 2 year old stuck her spoon in I'd go broke. She doesn't mind eating food from other people's plates either. I caught her eating the dog food yesterday while she was "feeding" the dog. On the plus side, she isn't a picky eater and will have a great immune system built up in short order.

He's probably also the guy that walks out of the bathroom at "Target or (fill in the blank) without washing his hands.

I'd make sure NOT to invite him to any of MY parties.

I was in Costco yesterday, in line to get a hot dog. The guy behind the counter picked up the thermometer, whipped it on his dirty apron and stuck it into a chicken bake thing.
