I saw great momentum from the replies while I was away. I hope you all keep powering away.
Last week: Was able to get in 1 weightlifting workout after I got back from a week in the woods. I did a ton of hiking. I am not sure how much but I was pretty spent at the end of each day. I also helped haul food and gear to and from camp. We had to store food away from camp as to not attract bears. Every breakfast, lunch, and dinner was a series of dead-lifts and walking up and down hills.
This week: 2-3 weightlifting workouts. Going to try and get in some walking.

Been seeing me doctors lately. I'm doing good considering arthritis, spinal degradation, busted foot spurs, fibromyalgia, and stagnation o' the lungs.

Weighed myself this morning - why bother? Still at 240. Now, I've been very diligently exercising for about two months so I would have hoped to see some loss. But what I do know: I have certainly lost some flab around my middle and I am very pleased by that. I can only assume that I've been adding muscle, especially from rowing. But I wonder how much weight in fat I may have lost. Maybe five pounds? Can I have added that much muscle mass?
Does anybody have experience with those body-fat measureing scales? The seem like a gimmick to me but I really don't know.

Better 240 and die later, than 240 and die sooner...
Keep it up.
I've stagnated about 20lbs heavier than you... but feel better for getting some semi-regular exercise.
More diet modifications coming.

Don't get discouraged. When I first began, I lost many lbs. and thought I was kicking butt. Then I started going up despite working harder and eating better. I was building muscle and the fat was going down. There will be phases of uncertainty and the body will want to relax and gain fat again. I hit several walls but I pushed forward and my body fat us definitely down. Adding casein protein has helped feed my body and decreased my food cravings. Good luck.

Interesting info in the above posts!
12.8 miles of 3+ MPH walking last week. The road beckons but the heat has made the flesh weak and flabby.
