Ram prices have been falling...
#1
If anyone was thinking about upgrading a 2011ish vintage Mac that takes this ram, price is almost as low as it has ever been. I just ordered 16GB, but I'm really tempted to order another 16GB to round it out to a nice 32GB of ram...

Is there a site that tells you which ram works in which Mac?

OWC has an excellent website for this but when I look elsewhere, it's way too confusing.

Been thinking about taking my 2010 iMac to 32 GB from 24.

Bu then I would have a spare 8 GB (4 x 2) sitting around that I just wouldnt know what to do with...

EDIT: just looked farther down the page -- the lowest its been in 4 YEARS -- that really is saying something.

or had 4 slots. =)

It must be something way more complicated than just adding more ram to the chip. It took until 2015 iMacs to see 16 GB chips, and even then they are $175 each.
