The Clippers announced Tuesday that Griffin will be sidelined four to six weeks because of the injury, which the team confirmed occurred when he threw a punch Saturday in Toronto.

Sources previously told ESPN's Michael Eaves that Griffin hit Matias Testi, the Clippers' assistant equipment manager.

Sources told Eaves that Griffin and Testi were at a restaurant Saturday night when they traded insults and got into an argument. Griffin hit Testi, who then left the restaurant and went outside. Griffin followed him outside and hit him again. Testi had visible injuries to his face, sources told Eaves.

Both Griffin and Testi were sent home from the road trip after the incident. The two are good friends and had vacationed together, sources said.

Tough guy Blake Griffin shows how to really take a hit, or just act like you did.

Boys will be boys. Griffin hasn't played a game since Xmas. Wasn't scheduled for Lakers on Friday due to quadriceps injury. Team has won 11 of 14 without him. Chris Paul said after the a victory over the Knicks on Friday, "but we won't see what our team is made of until Blake gets back". Paul probably know a little more of what Blake is made of now.

While most of the rest of the league harbors a strong dislike for the Clippers and their antics, word is Griffin and Paul so detest each other that they'll probably never play on the same team again, if anyone (other than that salaried employee) departs from LA it will probably be Griffin.

Is there anyone more disgusting than a spoiled rich athlete?

Chris Paul is kind of annoying as a player, but Blake is built like a tank and quick as a cat, no reason to flop, whine, and get all fake tough guy with the stares E V E R Y single play.

Chris Paul is older and nearing the end of his prime, but he's still a better player. The Clippers, ever if the competition hasn't been stellar the last month, have played better without Blake. I actually proposed the other day a Blake for Love swap. With the Cavaliers throwing in another first round pick. Today, the trade would have to go the other way and possibly include a pick and a pick swap to make it happen. I was banking on Blake coming back from injury sooner, not much later.

Paul Pierce hasn't look very good and the Josh Smith trade is looking worse and worse now, but Blake gone opens up the lane for Jordan. Get Love in there and his passing and range can make up for his abysmal defense. As annoying as Love can be, he isn't going to whine every play.

Put the video in fast motion. It's just a reaction, not a flop. This whole attack the athlete meme we got going on this board is tiresome. You never see anything positive.

I get your point, but you picked one of the worst players to trumpet the cause. His own peers don't seem to care much for his antics either. Shoot, I'm not sure guys on his own team like him that much. Not with him breaking his own hand and leaving them shorthanded.

The faux tough guy thing and flopping is pretty old at this point. Having said all that, he sure is a heck of a talent. Getting better as a playmaker! As a true Power Forward. Not a stretch four or physical freak like LeBron who plays like four positions (well, three, PG, SF, and PF, he can't shoot well enough to be a 2, but he can defend that spot as well), but a true PF looking like a playmaker! A big man like Chris Webber at the four, or Vlade at the 5 dropping dimes. I think he would be a better fit with the Cavs. Make the trade already!
