Second night in a row--stealth helicopters buzzing New Orleans
#1
Black helicopters flying without markings or lights, buzzing over the rooftops of the French Quarter. They don't hover, just fly by at high speed and low altitude making a lot a noise and rattling windows. Unnerving!

Filming of another Mission Impossible movie?

Helicopter chase with several camera choppers in the mix?

No, not filming. Copters have no lights, so wouldn't photograph well.

Special Ops training, if past media reports are to be believed.

"Special Ops training, if past media reports are to be believed."

Sounds like a great cover story. Confusedecret:

Yeah, they do this about once a year in downtown Chicago. They repeatedly fly low approaches to a particular downtown building, and then away. It's apparently training for urban operations. I have a great ringside seat, but Reddit blows up with people a little further out wanting to know what's happening.

That doesn't sound very stealthy.

You guys should live near Camp Lejeune.
Training year round, 24/7. We are on the flight training path, so I get to see lots of cool aircraft.
