Woot!! Woot!! Mortgage is paid off!!
#1
We knew this was the last month of automatic deductions, but we just received the refund check for the unpaid out escrow dollars.
Still have the home equity loan, and the zero percent loan for the mini-split heat pump system, but hey, one step at a time here.
While there are many things I would like to do with the available cash, paying down credit cards, and the home equity will be a priority, as long as something doesn't hit the fan and cause a major expense.

Suddenly in a good mood, Dave

Frakin-A yer out from under! Congratulations! I have just under 5 years left (if I live that long) myself.

I only have ONE payment left on my 30 year mortgage. Of course there will still be insurance and taxes. Feels good.

Congrats to you and everyone else in this thread! That's fantastic.

(my wife and I still have more than 10 years, but that's only because we picked a 15 year mortgage when we did a refi).

Big Congrats! I'm on the way myself with my coach Dave Ramsey.

It's a great feeling, but it used to be the single best deduction you could have. I would refi the house with a single short loan to pay off all the other loans.
