old food (frozen pie)
#1
I bought a 99ยข frozen mince pie at a grocery outlet yesterday. I didn't read the "best before" date carefully. It was April 2015.

I can tell you that it baked up fine and tasted delicious. No freezer burn on the crust and no weird taste at all.

I'm pretty sure it was this one:

It's frozen, it can potentially last forever.... Might taste like crap though.

Not forever, even frozen food kept at the zero degree F point can deteriorate for a variety reasons, including bacterial spoilage. But it is slowed down quite a bit. More damaging is cycling through a temperature range even if it does not reach a thawing point.
