30 years ago I was a 12yo kid in Brooklyn watching the Mets start their 1986 season. With no internet and not much TV news watching, I don't recall much — if anything — about it at the time.

30 years ago I was a 27 year old kid from Queens living in Los Angeles watching the Mets start their 1986 season. I remember news reports, but honestly, didn't pay a whole lot of attention.
