That used to be the flagship store location of the Levi's Corporation. When Apple announced their desire to build on that site it already featured a sculpture fountain by renown San Francisco artist, Ruth Asawa. We feared that it would be obliterated. But they kept the sculpture and has given it a position of reverence. Ruth Asawa recently passed away and now many many new people will be exposed to her brilliance.

That store looks like it just sells a bunch of screens btw.

I'm not feeling real keen about this. I hate seeing my computer company turning into an haute couture shopping destination. Sometimes I feel like if they can invent a "device base camp" that they will abandon computers altogether.

I think that ship has sailed.

I think the store is gorgeous and will eventually pay a visit.

The idea of having a very stylish place to shop for computers and devices is a good one.

A pirate flag doesn't get that done.

Tim has stated many, many times that Macs are core part of Apple and I believe him. It would be nice if he'd offer his reassurances in hardware, something a little more significant than just the usual speed bumps, processor architecture, and graphics chipset upgrades.

While I'm not part of the group, something to make power users happy would be appreciated, like a Mac Pro that can outperform an iMac at every turn.

And a 5K monitor. (Because *I'd* like that.)

Send your cards and letters to tcook@apple.com .

We get by with the Apple section in our Best Buy and are glad to have it.

Jony was there.

Apple executives Angela Ahrendts, who oversees the tech giant’s retail and online stores, and chief design officer Jonathan Ive were also there and ardent Apple fans strained their arms to get pictures of them on their iPhones.
