$1,399 for 2015 MBP 15"-16GB RAM, 256GB SSD--APPLE REFURB
#1
Best price I've seen (includes free shipping). I wrote to the seller, and s/he specifically replied:

"This comes with an Apple warranty."

I bought one, aware of the usual possibilities that this may be some kind of scam-seller's account may have been hijacked, etc.

Can't tell if it's real or not - no feedback on sales valued at more than $100. Make darned sure you get the full one year warranty when it arrives. Call apple and verify.

Open a 'not received' case if it doesn't arrive by the date ebay says that it's due.

I see that the seller charges tax in NY - that's a good sign. Most scammers wouldn't do that.

Anon,

Good luck trying to get it fixed under warranty. Same goes for getting applecare. Something about the listing red flags me quite a bit.

Well, I just got a UPS "The item will be picked up for shipping today" notice, so that's a positive sign.

We'll see; I'll let you all know later. Staying positive here....

Not really - scammers always will do whatever they can to make you feel comfortable. You can start breathing when UPS indicates that they have actually picked it up.

Anon,

UPS having the machine is good but you need to confirm it's a real Apple refurb and eligible for warranty service (and Applecare) upon receipt. That'll determine whether or not you got a deal or ripped off. 'course, $1399 for that machine is technically a deal even if it isn't a real Apple refurb.

Well, it's out for delivery today. I'm away from my office, so I'll know more tomorrow.

Keeping my fingers crossed.....
