Tough night here
#1
Sorry for posting this here but it seems like there have been alot of losses like this recently and I thought you would all understand.
Tonight I lost Ford the little rescue parrotlet in my sig line (which will after tonight be different) to a persistent bacterial infection. He was a real fighter but apparently just could not do it anymore. I have been breeding and keeping birds since 1993 and I should not be taking this so hard but he was such a sweet, smart, tough little bird that I will miss him more than most. The rest of the rescues are all fine, and I am sure his multiple mutations and questionable genetics were an issue, but I will be watching extra close again on everyone else for a while.

Give all your little ones an extra hug, be they human, furry, feathered, or scaly because you just never know.....

My heart has joined the thousands, for my friend has stopped flying today.

The love we have for our pets is so special. They ask for so little and add so much to our lives.

Sorry for your loss.

Thanks everyone,
I did not realize that when I changed the photo in my sig it would go back and change them all to the new one so here is a Ford picture.

The new bird is Rainier the first hatched Abysinnian Love bird in my aviary whoes wife Grace is sitting on her first eggs now.

Thanks again for the understanding,

I'm so sorry that you have lost a beloved pet. It doesn't matter what covers them on the outside, it is the love they have on the inside that makes them so special to us.
