Thanks to onthedownlow for giving me this advice... have had to do this logicboard bake about once a year since he told me, keeps my printer hp 2015dn working very well!


Just posting again just in case someone is in need of a repair of which baking the logic board may be an option for repair.

cool, but I wonder what kind of fumes and outgassing is released in the oven and if the food you cook after that is contaminated. Does anyone know?

Space- reflow is not going to release VOC's at that temperature. The boards were baked a bit higher originally. Anyway open the oven afterwards.

Just lead based solder, don't worry about it.

yes, the air in this location is very clean. not all NJ is polluted.

You're welcome! Wow, can't believe it has been four years. I am just now seeing this post. There have been about four others that I know have done this, as well. All with success.

Luckily, I have not had to do it to my 2015dn, since. It still runs like a champ.
