Collision: Dump Truck without brakes vs. Honda Accord
#1
http://jalopnik.com/runaway-dump-truck-c...1795543535

There’s a very lucky Honda Accord owner in Bellevue, Washington. There’s also a very unlucky one. They’re the same person. They’re also the person that was T-boned by a dump truck with no brakes yesterday on Coal Creek Parkway.

They’re unlucky because, duh, a massive dump truck ran right into them and plowed them right into the freaking forest off the side of the road, and they’re lucky because, according to KIRO 7, they only suffered minor injuries.

The dump truck seems to have lost its brakes, which is why it makes a beeline for those woods like it was a bear who saw the Pillsbury Dough Boy sleeping among the trees.

On the bright side, the truck didn't hit is square on and there looks to be a lot of opportunity to scrub off energy. More concerned about the dump truck driver. With momentum like that he could be deep into the trees.

That Tahoe stopped rather quickly!

Edit, maybe a Suburban

Hope all are ok

The dump left a streak of rubber on the road.

I believe it is a Tahoe. The rear wheels are closer to the middle windows. The Suburban has the wheels set back a bit further and the rear glass panel is longer.

The dump truck may have pulled the emergency brake, locking up just the rear tire.

And notice it's only one tire that locked up - most likely an emergency brake?

I'll bet that wasn't the only skid marks left from the accident.

A couple observations..

Interesting how the voices of the Russians never raise or get excited. Just matter of fact..

Russia has a lot of Chevy's (though I didn't see any Mercedes or BMW's)
