New Albany's (IN) war memorial is in the middle of the street one block away, so I donned my (wool) Air Force blue jacket (not a chance on the pants), walked down to the VFW and "marched" with them to the city ceremony. Then just walked a block home and TOOK OFF THAT WOOL COAT!

First time I've ever attended a Memorial Day service.

The politician who spoke had a decent speech in which he pointed out that with all the reduced price sales going on today, we should not forget the folks who did not get a reduced price on their lives.

Here's thinking of YOU, Mike Warren.

Yes, MrNo, I am very grateful, and remember those who died for us all. In my thoughts, I go back to at least 1775, even a bit earlier for so many who came here to carve out a great nation with their life's blood.
