On course for this week for the most part. Could cut down on sugar intake a bit.

Last week: 2 upper body workouts.
Goal this week: 2 upper body workouts, elliptical.

I'm away on vacation (in Europe) until July 19. That means a fair amount of walking but nothing like the five miles per day I do on my treadmill while home. Lots of great food. This will be a challenge.

You appear to be recovering from your injury nicely!

I'm coming up on finishing my 8th straight year of regularly going to the gym. I used to think I was going alot but at the end of 2016 I checked the gym website and found I was going on average 15 or 16 times per month.

So starting this year I was determined to amp up the intensity. The most visits I made in a month last year was 21 times in April.

This year:

January: 24 visits
February: 22
March: 27
April: 29
May: 26 (and 1 more tomorrow.)

Since I have no life on occasion I will go twice in one day, on a Saturday or Sunday. Helps me catch up when I have a sick week and fall behind.

Went running for the first time in over two weeks today and managed to do a little over two miles.

Pulled something in my hip region that has kept me from running since May 12. Doesn't hurt when I do anything else (bike, elliptical), but I couldn't run more than a couple minutes before it would hurt again.

My 1000-mile year is now totally out of the question. May was looking good until the 12th - 68 km. Was on track to hit over 140 for the month.

Two weeks ago I got a set of Airpods. I had been buying cheap-o BT earbuds, but the quality was just total @%@$!. I was hoping to at least get a few months out of a set, but sometimes I wouldn't get three days.

So I got the Airpods figuring if they die, at least Apple would replace them. So far I don't like them. Once the sweat starts flowing, the right one is always working its way loose. It has fallen out many times.

They make my ears hurt, too, from the constant re-setting needed to keep them in.

I just ordered these:

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B071Y75CDT/

which will hopefully alleviate the problem.

I do like the convenience. No power switch. Just open the case and they are ready to go. Music pauses if you take one out. Unfortunately, these silicone doo-dads will remove some of the convenience, since they need to be removed to put the pods back in their case.

The sound is also really good. The bass is good when they are seated, but they don't stay that way unfortunately.

Sprained ankle still has me unable to do much. Sad
It is getting better, but I still have to go easy on the walking, which is driving me nuts.

From the brief second before that vid ends, it appears the birch may be dead whereas the trees in the background fully leaved out. Birches, poplars, etc., rot out after they die and if our brilliant show-off had checked the tree closer, he may have avoided being made fun of all around the world!

... but left to rot it didn't fall on some little kid, so maybe some not too bright peoples serve the rest of the population at least to an extent.

I flipped my riding lawnmower over on top of me yesterday. Cracked same rib on left side as last summer. Don't make me laugh
