Probably my favorite Mac ever. As Jobs said, beautiful, and accessible. Upgraded mine with a 1.7 GHz processor and a flashed PC video card. If I ever set it up again would be fun to add an SSD.

A shame they under-rated the power supply - it really wasn't able to stand up to running the Mac and a display. I got a separate display power supply for mine, but I think still had to do a power supply replacement once along the way. The keyboard was also lousy, and the mouse iffy. But the Mac itself was really neat.

I'm sure someone has put the innards of a Mac Mini in the Cube's case.

My favorite memory of him was the time the three of us were walking alone down the hallway and you dropped your 300mm lens and he made a comment.

The Cube setup always looks nice in marketing materials. In real life, not so much. The cable clutter, wires, dust, scuffs, and desktop stuff ruins the look. We had one at the office. The speakers were busted. The keyboard was gross. mouse wire was frayed. Cube case had scuffs all over it. The monitor was missing. We chucked it onto the recycle heap and had it hauled away.

Remember how some people were VERY preoccupied with the condition of the cube case? Many of the initial shipments had visible seams in the clear plastic, can you believe it?! SEAMS!!! OMG.

Your office is awfully hard on computers. My Cube looks great! The 23" display, not so much.
