Little vexed by a question from an eBay member
#1
I listed a new HP 15 inch LCD on eBay a couple of days ago (it's a 'Buy It Now' auction). I got the following strange question from someone (I logged in to eBay just to be sure):

I HAD ONE OF THESE AND ONE OF HPS CASE WORKERS WAS SUPPOSED TO SEND ME A NEW ONE THAT GOT DAMAGED WHEN MY COMPUTER BLEW OUT AND HE SENT THE SHIPPING LABELS FIRST SO I SENT BACK THE COMPUTER AND MONITOR AND ONLY GOT THE COMPUTER AND I WAS SUPPOSED TO HAVE KEPT THE SERIAL NUMBER TO IT SO THEY CAN GET ME ANOTHER ONE AND A GIRL AT HP SHOPPING WAS GOING TO TRY TO GET ME ONE OFF OF THE BOX! BUT THIS IS A REALLY GOOD PRICE FOR IT! BUT I JUST BOUGHT MINE A MONTH AGO!

So, what are they asking/telling me? If I assume everything is on the up and up, I'd think they're more or less telling me that they're interested in buying my item.

The person registered only recently and has bought one item (a $25 wig) so far.

I don't see a question anywhere in there so I wouldn't bother trying to come up with an answer. Hit the "delete" button and move on.

LOL---I almost missed that he won a WIG on eBay

Really make him "wig" out. Thanks him for offering to pay double what you listed in the buy it now :-)

I would move on.

Yeah, one possible conclusion (given all the factors) is that they may just be new to all this. But the SN thing also crept into my head as a possibility too. Like wurm suggested, I'm tempted to just leave the question unanswered. But if they're a newbie, then perhaps they're expecting a response. And I'm not sure if they're a he or a she either.

im with ken

a non-sensensical post requires a non-sensacle answer

tell them the item the order for a "ladies pink nighty with matching fishnet stockings" is just waiting confirmation and a valid credit card number for the final amount ($137.42) plus any local taxes and shipping before it can be sent
