Wierdness G5 first letter in every word is red & printing red
#1
I first noticed it while firing up PhotoshopCS. On the developer credit screen, the first letter in every word was red.

Didn't use any other programs for a few days and now that i've been using other programs the first letter in every word is red...including words I type...they also print red...the only unaffected prgram is text edit.

Never seen anything like this before...you guys?

That's a new one on me. Weirdness in deed. Stupid to ask... and unlikely to affect..... but did you repair permissions? Smile Sorry, had to ask - don't have clue or direction to point for this one.

Never even heard of this. Did you try the usual repairs yet? Repair Permissions, Disk Utility, Disk Warrior, restart the computer? Maybe clean the caches.

By any chance, is the color dripping down your screen?

Halloween prank?

Anybody have access to your System Folder? Are you using standard System Fonts?

Thanks for the response folks and a visit from Larry...

a couple more tidbits...this occurred after switching to an old NEC 22 inch monitor to profile it with colorvision..precal and optical. I noticed it after that. When I switch back to my regular monitor it's fine.

I have heard, on other forums, that people have had problems with the cursor changing colors after a colorvision profiling...seems to be unpredictable as to when it happens.

This red letter thing even happens in all the web browsers..first letter of each word is red..prints red. like you guys, i've never seen or heard of this before.

I've never seen a monitor that wasn't plug and play with a mac...could it be a driver issue with the NEC? it's about 6 years old or so.

yep, i repaired permits but didnt do any other repairs

the only thing dripping down my screen is, well...i dont know...i popped a zit? oh yeah,,my son popped a zit, or something. Those teens are pretty damn curious and energetic.

Its a Colorsync issue, Wipe the colorsync preferences.
I have seen some funky things after creating profiles.
Wipe and start again.

It's the Scarlet Letter Virus.
Repent Permissions and you'll be fine.
