SOLD: MediaSonic 4-bay USB 3 drive enclosure
#1
both have now sold

No longer need either of these due to recent changes in how I'm storing stuff. Both are tested and working, and will include the power cords, USB 3 cord, and any required accessories. Details below:

drive dock is gone

$25 shipped, or best offer.

OWC Voyager S3 USB 3 - single drive, 2.5/3.5" drive dock. Single USB 3 port. Has worked well for me for occasional cloning, etc. There may well be a max drive size for this enclosure, but I don't know what it is. The largest I've tried is a 4TB, and it worked fine. The unit is in good condition, with some very minor wear.

$60 shipped, or best offer.

MediaSonic 4 bay USB 3 drive enclosure - up to 4 drive enclosure. Model HF2-SU3S2. Does not have hardware RAID support, but you can RAID drives via software (like Disk Utility, or other Software raid). Says on the box that it supports up to 4tb drives. Possible that it will work with larger ones, I don't know. Also has an eSATA port which I never used. I think I recall reports about hot-swapping not supported on the Mac when connected via eSATA, but perhaps it works in windows. Not sure on that one. This unit works with 2.5" drives, but you need to use an adapter that puts the drive connectors at the same place as 3.5" drives. I think I found a couple adapters for under $10 each (not included).

If it's the HF2-SU3S2 as opposed to the HF2-SU352, then I have the same model and can vouch for the fact that it will take up to 8TB drives, as I have one in there. If I needed a second one, I'd get it, but I have one already, as well as an OWC Qx2.

Thanks, rz. Yes, you are correct, it is HF-SU3S2. I have corrected the listing. Good to know about the 8tb drives.
