Pretty sure thats the Fusion drive with the smaller flash drive. May not matter to some, or even make a difference in day to day use, but for some it might.

Better color gamut, faster flash drive, good VRAM, retina display. 64 GB ram limit, but thats way to much $.

Keep in mind that the SSD component of that Fusion drive offers only 32GB of capacity. Aside from that, a great price on a great machine.

Such a great deal if not for that drive. Grrrrrrr.

Keep in mind that this is a daily deal that expires at Midnight eastern.

$1499! Our 2011 iMac is failing so this might just be the way to go rather than a $1k Craigslist machine. My wife needs it to do her homework (she teaches Spanish) so I think she can get by just fine on the limited RAM and the smaller Fusion drive.

Edit: I just bought it and a $45 TB3 to TB2 adapter to connect to our existing TB2 hub. I wonder why Apple includes a USB to Lightning cable with new iMacs...

This replaces her 2011 27" 3.4 quad i7 with 32 gigs of RAM, a 256 GB SSD (Sandisk 840 Pro) and 1TB HD. The old iMac served her well and she would have been happy to keep using it for many years had she not started to see screen artifacts and freezes beginning three days ago. Failure is imminent.

Thank you, pRICE!!!

USB to lightning is to charge any wireless peripherals like the mouse and keyboard/trackpad.

Ah, I see. Thanks, sekker! I'm so last decade, we still use AA batteries for those things.

Yup. I imagine this iMac Pro could be had for $4k:

iMac Pro 27" Xeon Processor, 32GB RAM, 1TB SSD, Vega 64 GPU - $4500

I was tempted but only for a moment since my wife's requirements match those of a machine for less than half the price.

I thought that AAPL equipped all modern fusion drives with a 128 GB SSD component.
