iPhone math
#1
Trying to troubleshoot my wife's iPhone's constant pop-ups telling her that she is out of space. It's a 64GB phone and she doesn't keep pictures or music on it. When I open Manage Storage there's nothing showing a great deal of storage usage. I told her it may be time for a trip to the Genius Bar. It doesn't make any sense to me.

Try turning off and restarting the iPhone

Are you just looking at her iCloud storage or room left on her iPhone? If the former, it looks like you are not logged into her account, if the later, you are looking in the wrong place.

Are you sure its not telling her shes out of iCloud storage space?

If shes backing up to iCloud -- which I highly recommend -- then she needs to subscribe to the 99ยข 50 GB option.

Worth every penny.

Thanks for the replies. I don't have the phone in front of me at the moment. I'll have to check those things later. But I do know she doesn't use iCloud at all.

Oh boy. I feel so silly. Upon closer inspection, I see that her iPhone is only 16GB. It's my daughter's old one (which incidentally, I just sold today) was the 64GB. So, I did shut it off and restart, and now it shows about 100MB available. But it's not going to get much better than that. Oh well,

So my hope that you find a cache of porn that you would share with us is gone.

12GB free on a 16 GB iPhone makes sense. On my 32 GB iPhone SE, there are about 28 GB available.

100 MB free is nothing - you should try and free up at least 2 GB IMHO. The simplest solution may be to use iCloud and get 50 GB as mentioned above.
