Always been fascinated by this image. how did she feel about this? What was he feeling? Were they both having good feelings about the end of the war in different ways?
Today, this brings up other concerns. And rightfully so. But it is still hard to condemn something done THEN in the moment of exhilaration, consistent with the mores of their own time.
And hey, end of a terrible war which killed a lot of people he knew, and she knew. I'm not ready to judge anyone's emotions who lived through that.

For a moment I thought this was going to be about the Klimt painting, but then I remembered reading earlier today about this gentleman’s passing. RIP, sir.
